I got an email through Workday at 9pm on a Monday asking for dates and times to chat about a role I applied to. Excited about this bc I have been laid off, I sent times and dates on Tuesday when I read the email. It then went radio silence, I assumed I got ghosted by the recruiter and yep. I got a generic workday email saying they closed the role and they were no longer interviewing. I checked my application status on the portal and it said my application was still in process. I emailed the recruiter again just to check-in. Days later another generic email (different than the first saying I didn't move forward). Don't give candidates false hope especially during this time. It is poor recruiting standards. Do better.
