Very concise and transparent process interview process. They communicate with you actively and make sure to keep you in the loop. The interview was an average difficulty but definitely come prepared with questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at SolarReviews (Denver, CO)
Interview
The interview process started with an intro call with the HR team then scheduling an interview with the hiring manager. After making through the first interview, I was scheduled for a second and “final” interview with a different department head (technically third counting the 30 min intro call with HR). Both interviews went well and I was given a google sheet quiz to prove my skills. I sent off the sheet and never heard back. It was supposed to be the last interview and I was excepting an offer. No one from their team responded to my follow up emails and I was ghosted after 4 weeks of interviewing. It is shameful for a company to treat candidates like this and it was a complete waste of my time. I spent hours studying for the interviews and giving ideas on strategy that they could have easily taken.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SolarReviews (Fremont, CA) in Jul 2022
Interview
lack of communication with unnecessary build up by HR,
who vanishes once you are done with the interview or when they find any other candidate who they find better.
The HR even confirmed to boost me up before the final round that everybody else interviewed was rejected so give your best shot and then ghosts you for a week once the interview is done.
More than 2 weeks were wasted to get an application made to build up by you and then in evaluation.
The developers were friendly and polite (in fact way more realistic).they were the ones who responded to the emails and confirmed the rejection.
Transparency with communication without giving any false hopes / ghosting would be a better approach to interview any candidate who invested there time and energy for an assignment which is meant to be for there “account section” as an example.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Generic laravel questions, eloquent, how you approach to build up for a project etc
Another round after a week of constantly asking about the coding assessment , to discuss my efforts and outlook on how I developed that assessment which made me wait for another week and then another week while they interviewed other candidates
We would like to thankyou for taking the time to apply for this position at SolarReviews and we are sincerely sorry that your experience was not satisfactory. We take all feedback seriously and have made changes in our HR department to ensure more effective communication and a better candidate experience going forward.
