      Frontend Developer Interview

      No offer

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Solera (Zürich) in Apr 2018

      Interview

I've been contacted by Solera's HR. I knew the company from a friend of mine but I had not extensive information about it. So I've checked Glassdoor and read a lot of negative comments about this company. To be honest, I think it's about the mindset. I've found nothing disturbing at all during the procedure. The HR process took very long, but that is something R3PI is not handling (it is handled by Solera, the parent company). There are smart people working in the company. I made it till the last round, and I thought I had a good interview with Andy (the boss), but a couple of days later I received a phone call from the HR who told me that they decided to move on with someone else. I find it very thoughtful to communicate this via phone because after such a process it would be very impersonal to receive an automated email message. You can clearly get the air of an American company here, people are direct, they are independent. No one cares what you do until you deliver what you have to deliver. If you're not able to deliver, you are in trouble. Probably this strictness is the reason of negative comments but I think that's work life. There should be some toughness so all in all it seemed to be a great place to work here. Wish luck for the new applicants and the best to the guys whom I've met during the interview! To describe the procudere: I had an initial phone screen, then received an assignment (which was a simple project), then an on-site technical interview with the team (I think the questions were average but this is subjective), a 1:1 with the development manager and finally 1:1 with the boss and then if you're good to go the last round is salary negotiation with the HR or a phone call :)
