Overall process was around 4 weeks. First interview call was with the recruiter & then was asked to schedule my next interview with the manager & didn’t receive a response for over a week, then was contacted by a 2nd recruiter after I had to send a follow up email. Interviewed with the dept. manager, then a 3rd interview with two team leads who report to this position- one of them come off slightly abrasive when it came to communication. This interview seemed odd in my point of view as the questions/interview itself seemed thrown together at the last minute and lacking substance. I then had another interview scheduled with one person, but then last minute was changed completely to a different executive/ different time - which I accommodated with no issue. This interview seemed as if it went very well as the interviewer brought up important projects & aspects of the position that were not included in the job posting, but that I had extensive experience with and how I would fit into the team. The call ended with “Hope to see you soon”. A few days later I received a generic email stating that they were going with a different candidate that fit better, which is frustrating given my knowledge in every aspect of the position & the call out by the executive that I even had extra knowledge that met needs they currently have. Given the few messy pieces of the process overall I don’t feel too disappointed.
