I applied online. I interviewed at Sound Physicians (Tacoma, WA) in Sept 2017
Interview
The one-hour on-site interview was extremely positive. (There were 2 phone screens and 1 on-site interview.) The phone screens showed a lack of experience on the part of the two recruiters I spoke with. (I asked a lot of clarifying questions and some of the questions were repeated from one phone screen to another, both by their company recruiters, not a hiring manager. I felt this demonstrated a lack of preparedness.) I also sensed that the recruiters were just sort of thrown at this role without a lot of training or expertise. (As I mention below, they never even had the courtey to follow up on the interiews.)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Behavioral and experience questions regarding management style, previous project experience, and software expertise. I was asked how hands-on I was and I gave previous examples of being a 'hands'on' Manager. (I believe all PM's need to be hands-on in one way or another.) One of the members of the interview panal barely said a word. I feel that the hiring manager and I engaged very effectively. I was never double-questioned or circled back to for clarification on any of the questions posed or examples given.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sound Physicians (Tacoma, WA) in Aug 2013
Interview
I was referred to the job and quickly scheduled to interview with two of the senior leaders. I met them at a local restaurant and had a pleasant conversation. An overview of the company, position, and current organizational focus was shared. It was one of the most relaxing interviews I've had during my career.
