I applied online and found it strange that they insisted I include a headshot. Regardless, I really wanted the job so I contacted the company to add a personal touch. The lady who answered the phone said the hiring manager doesn’t live in San Diego and gave me his email address. After a nice cover letter and another submission of my resume, I get an email back that simply asks me to send a picture. I explained that I did with my ZipRecruiter application and received no response, but it’s just as well. I will not work for such a shallow and detached manager.
