I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Space & Time (London, England) in Jul 2025
Interview
Initial online screen with a recruiter, followed by an interview over Teams with the Associate Director and the Ecommerce Lead. During this interview I was told that the company was looking to diversify its portfolio and get business in from categories where I had worked previously - I was also told that they would like me to bring some of these companies in as customers if I was hired.
I was invited for an in-person interview with the hiring team of 2 to make a presentation, which was beset by technical issues at their office. I presented options for bringing in additional opportunities for companies that reflected my experience, but then the interview feedback told me that wasn't the right approach, although this had been specifically mentioned in the first interview. Absolutely brutal feedback, not one positive point was made.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Space & Time in Mar 2021
Interview
Very approachable and predominantly face to face, with access to senior stakeholders and open conversation around opportunity and experience. They were open to being challenged and equally were clear in terms of managing expectations around the role and it's requirements.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you look to build a sense of team across multiple office locations?
The interview was well-organised and personable. It started with an initial call with talent acquisition and an interview with the Head of Talent and HR. Afterwards, I was given a brief, which I later presented to the team lead. The interview process was pleasant and didn’t feel rushed. The interviewers took their time to get to know me and my experience. It was one of the best interview processes I have had, with excellent organisation from the agency.
