I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at SpaceX (Hawthorne, CA) in Sept 2018
Interview
Recruiter reached out and followed up with two phone interviews with engineering managers. They asked some technical questions and questions about background. Next was the onsite interview with a panel of nine engineers. You have to make a presentation on a difficult engineering challenge and they ask you questions to figure out how you think. If you make it past presentation phase, the next phase is one on one interviews for the rest of the day. They gave me a swag bag and a tour of the facility.

Question 1
Describe the most difficult engineering challenged you faced and how you worked through it.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at SpaceX (Miami, FL) in Dec 2022
Interview
It was pretty weird, I told the hiring manager the available dates and he never scheduled a time. I just got a call mid day. The denial is something I had to ask for a month later and even then it didn't have a job title that I was denied for. Overall it felt like a bootleg interview.
