I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at SpaceX in Jul 2023
Interview
Initially had a recruiter phone call, which just had standard job fit questions. I was then sent an Online Assessment, which I completed and scored 100% on. The recruiter reached out and confirmed I would be progressing to the next round, and to await next steps. I was then ghosted for two months, and finally received a message from the recruiter (after multiple follow-up emails on my side) to schedule my interview. No confirmation was sent for another month. By the time I finally got to get interviewed, the interviewer was nice enough. However, it felt more like a pop quiz on CS trivia rather than something that was aimed to test my problem solving and technical skills.
Recruiter screens usually hit: time/space complexity of common operations, why O(log n) beats O(n), array vs hash map vs linked list tradeoffs, and Big-O of sorting. Want me to drill you on these?
