      Financial Analyst Interview

      14 May 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Splunk (London, England) in Apr 2019

      Interview

Despite of being nice to me, I spoke to 6 different people and I had 7 interview meetings/calls/skype. I have to say that I was unsuccessful on my online application and 1 month later the HR people contacted me as a good prospect. I thought that was weird. I spoke to HR for 30 min regarding my skills and prior exp by phone. Next day I spoke to the hiring manager for 45min by phone on my prior experience. 2 days later they scheduled 3 interviews for nearly 3 hours with 3 different people. I was informed the prior day at 10:30pm with nearly no time to research properly. Once there, I met the HR person I spoke with in first place, the conversation was similar to the one whe had by phone 3 days before. After that I was interviewed by one guy from Sales, started repeating some previous questions. The last one for the day was with a HR BP speaking about my background, he looked like trying to scare me with 'long hours', 'working weekends', 'being some sort of PA for some positions'etc. Next day I had a Skype interview with a SR finance analyst in Washington for 1 hour ( Obviously late in the UK) about my skills and background, same questions as the previous ones. Then even later, I had the final one with a director of finance via Skype in San Francisco, same questions pretty much. After that there was an additional one with the hiring manager I spoke with the second day. I was unsuccessful before that happened. I can't tell that wasting 7h of my life was nice. Too many people to speak with. Job interviews are getting crazy and this one was a proof. They all asked about providing exampes of achievements, improvements, etc. I will add up just the non usual ones.
