      Sales Operations Analyst Interview

      20 Sept 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Spruce in Sept 2022

      Interview

I had a phone screen with the recruiter, which went very well until the very end when she asked me desired comp. I asked her to please tell me the range budgeted for the role and I would tell her if that fit in my desired range. She then went on a long monologue about how actually, there was no range budgeted for the role and pushed harder for a number from me first, which I refused to give. This is an awful recruitment practice. Good companies are transparent with their pay bands with candidates. The recruiter gave some shady answer about how she’s follow up with the hiring manager about moving me forward. Never heard from this company again. The position has been reposted and is still listed. Bullet dodged.
