I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Squaremouth (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2025
Interview
I’ve had two rounds of conversations with the hiring manager at this company over the last six months. The first time, I went through three rounds of interviews but ultimately didn’t get the role. That’s part of the process, and I understand.
Several months later, I was contacted again, this time by the same hiring manager, after the original hire didn’t work out. I was asked if I was still interested in the position. I said yes and went through another recruiter screen (with a different team member) followed by another conversation with the hiring manager. During that interview, they shared detailed internal goals and processes, which made it seem like I was being seriously considered.
I was told I’d hear about next steps within a week. It’s now been nearly a month, and I haven’t received any communication - despite following up.
I understand that not every interview ends in an offer. But being asked to reapply, going through multiple rounds again, and then being ghosted is obscene and unprofessional.
It’s disappointing because this company has positive reviews and seems like a good place to work. But based on how they treat candidates, I no longer see it as a place I’d want to be.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Squaremouth in Nov 2022
Interview
The first interview was done over the phone with Cheri where she asked me a series of questions to get to know me and also to see what i'm looking for in a company. I was given information on the service Squaremouth provides and the culture they stand for. The 2nd interview was completed with one of the team leads. The entire process felt like I was conversing with friends. Cheri and Felicia were so down to earth and spoke very highly of the company and the role which naturally made me want the position even more because I could tell how happy they are with the company. I was well informed about Squaremouth and the Claims Adjuster position as well as Travel Insurance.

Interview
I had a very positive experience interviewing with Squaremouth. I went through two rounds of group interviews, the first of which had three attendees (other than myself) and the second of which had five attendees (other than myself). I didn't feel any of the questions were unfair at all, and really just made sure the candidate understood and felt competent about the job duties. I really got a sense of how closely knit the company culture was in the interview process as well, seeing how everyone bounced questions and ideas off of each other.
