I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Stanford Health Care (Palo Alto, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
It was a great experience, they were very kind and straight forward. I would say that be prepared with what you can offer as an possible candidate. Also, I would not try to overly impress them. Just because Stanford is a world known hospital does not mean that they are looking for big impressions, rather they are looking for someone humble, down to earth and can get the job done. I say be you, be honest, and you will do just fine.

Interview
There was a phone screen with recruiter, then a phone call with the hiring manager, followed by two panel interviews (where each panel interview included a presentation that I had to prepare on a project of my choosing). The interview process took about a month but waiting to hear back took over a month after the final round.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to coordinate across groups with different interests.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Stanford Health Care
Interview
The interview process was long, multiple rounds, and at times disorganized. The panel interview felt very robotic and the entire team read off of a sheet. I applied 2 months before I received a call back. I had one phone interview and then waiting another 3 weeks. After that I had my first panel interview and then waited another 2 weeks for my final round interview. It was quite tedious.
