      EasyTech Associate/Cashier Interview

      1 Dec 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Staples in Feb 2013

      Interview

Work history interview with assistant manager of the store literally the day after I applied. Spent 20 minutes talking about my past jobs and technical knowledge. I came back the next day to talk to the tech manager. I was put in a small room with an ancient desktop computer and had to take two successive computer skills tests (think A+ certification zone of questions). The second test was MUCH harder and completely beyond the scope of what kind of work was done in store; and lots of the questions were honestly outdated or defunct in practical application frequency or at all. I was told I passed both and was hired on the spot as an "Easy Tech Associate" after shaking hands with the store manager too and pledging I wouldn't be working any other jobs at the moment (despite the part time nature of this one)
