The interview process took over five months. I applied in early November and got contacted by an HR representative in late November for a phone screening. I was told their hire date would be January. Once I completed the phone screening, I didn't hear back for 3-4 weeks. Then, in December, I was told they were postponing their next interviewing phase until January. I had my first round of interviews in mid January. I didn't hear back from anyone for another three weeks. I was scheduled for a final interview at the end of February. I was told that they would make a final decision and get back to me within a week; ultimately, I reached out and was told I was not the selected candidate two weeks later, in early March. I enjoyed everyone I met with, but I was taken aback at the lack of organization and consideration of the candidate's overall energy investment into their interview process, given the responsibility level and compensation of the role. The organization should re-evaluate hiring processes and be more mindful and respectful of prospective hires. No hiring process should take five months.
