I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at State Farm (Austin, TX) in Oct 2012
Interview
I completed an online application and about three weeks later I was asked to take online assessments. About three weeks after that I was asked for a phone screening. The phone screen was rather unpleasant. The lady seemed disinterested in me. I researched the company and was very prepared for the interview. My Master's degree is not in business or finance which I'm sure is the kind of candidate they are looking for. I gave very thorough answers and even had questions prepared to ask the recruiter...and still she seemed bothered that she was having to interview me. It was not a very pleasant experience, and the next day I received the rejection email. I understand they are unable to hire everyone who applies or everyone who has a professional degree, but I also feel I was not given the opportunity to explain to them what my capabilities were. The phone interview was rushed and cold.
