Went through 6 interviews/shadow days/assessments/etc. Very thorough. Took about 2 months to get from initial contact to hired. Low offer but this was my first job and didn't know better. Should have asked for more.

      Anonymous employee
      Corinth, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at State Farm (Corinth, TX) in Mar 2014

      Interview

I applied for the job though Indeed by submitting my resume` via email. I received an email back within 24 hours informing me that I'd been selected as a candidate, and would have to take a few tests in order to continue the selection process. I had 48 hours to take the tests. The tests were a series of math, ethics, and integrity questions, as well as a typing test. I assumed I scored well, because after I took the tests; I was then emailed with an interview time. The morning of the interview, I called the recruiter assigned to me for the location. It was then that I was informed that I would not have to travel in for the interview, but it would be conducted via phone instead. I was asked about my work experience, about certain work situations and what I think my reaction would be, or how would I handle certain situation. I was questioned about schedule flexibility, as well as dependability. I was also questioned about my education and accomplishments. Afterwards, I was asked if I had any questions for her or about State Farm. Naturally, when applying for a company, one should always do his/her homework on the company beforehand. We conversed about the company and the amazing growth from 1922 until now, and about it being the number one auto insurer in America since 1942. As the conversation came to an end, she informed me that if I were selected, I'd need to report to the training location with 2 forms of identification (DL, government issued ID, social security card, birth certificate, passport, etc). I found out I was award the job, about 2 days later, and was due to start a month from now.
