      Mechnical Engineer Interview

      18 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Houston, TX
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Stetson Global (Houston, TX) in Jan 2026

      Interview

Laney, the recruiter, initially reached out after via LinkedIn. The interview process started with an introductory phone call where we discussed my background, technical experience, and interest in international project work. She did a great job explaining the company, the Houston-based role, and what the travel schedule and project environments would realistically look like. The next step was a video interview that went more in depth into my experience, problem-solving approach, and ability to work in fast-paced field environments. The conversations felt very professional but also relaxed and conversational. Everyone was prepared, respectful of my time, and genuinely interested in finding the right fit both technically and personally. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I was genuinely excited about the opportunity, but decided not to procede in the process. With one child still in college, I decided that the amount of international travel wasn’t the best fit for me at this stage of life, but I came away very impressed with the team and company.
