I applied via Indeed towards the end of October and a few days later I received a message from the recruiter via Indeed inviting me to an interview. A few days later i had the interview with the recruiter where i spoke about my work experience to date, what made me apply for the role and at the end I asked questions about the company.
The recruiter explained that they typically have lots of applicants who apply to their roles so the positions are normally in demand.
The Recruiter also told me that they would get back to me within a few days if I were successful.
Within a couple of hours and to my surprise I received a direct message from the recruiter informing me that I was being put forward to the hiring manager and the interview would be in two days time.
I agreed and when I met the hiring manager I felt it went well, I was able to explain why I applied for the role and go through the most relevant parts of my work history and how they related to the position.
I did notice however within the same time as my interview the job had been reposted on Linkedin after I initially saw it on Indeed.
At the end of the interview I was told about next steps which included a short presentation to the founder as this would be the last stage of the recruitment process.
One question that did throw me was "Was I interest in film or just the job" as my degree is in film production I empthasised this as one of the reasons why I applied for the role.
Nearly two weeks went by and I heard nothing, so I assumed I was ghosted. Today however I received a direct message from the recruiter informing me that despite the hiring manager feeling a had great qualities which I could contribute to the company they have found candidates which closely meet their needs more,
