I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (Bellevue, WA) in Feb 2022
Interview
1. Recruiter call
2. Manager call
3. Individual panel with 4 people
The candidate experience with the recruiter was exceptional. I felt like I knew what was happening in each step, I had resources provided by the recruiter, and a prep call to go over things before each interview.
The individual panel was interesting. It felt dry. Each person strictly read off behavioral questions and while I shared my experience to how it related to the role, the interviewees (mainly the hiring manager) did not get deeper and focused on typing their answers.
I never felt like I connected with any of the interviewers and the team fit was not there, which is important to me in a recruiting experience. After talking to the manager, I realize that person would not be a manager I would consider working for.

Typical behavioral questions "tell me about a time".
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (Atlanta, GA) in Mar 2026
Interview
Pretty tough recruiter prescreen, interview the following week was with the hiring manager. Lots of STAR questions with deep dives into my answers, and answering fictional scenarios. Next was an assignment, put a lot of time into this and received a canned e-mail informing me I'm not moving forward. Recruiter was VERY responsive.

Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to deal with difficult stakeholders?
Phone screen followed by a series of questions detailing a complex problem I had solved. The second question was around missing an important goal and to detail the steps you would take in that scenario.
I interviewed at Stripe in June 2025 and was given a written assignment before moving on to interviews. After spending a week working on a very long and tedious assignment, I was rejected immediately with no interview. No feedback was provided. I would expect unprofessionalism from this organization and the possibility that your work may just be taken. It is evident that they do not value a clear and fair recruiting process.
