      Risk Manager Interview

      13 Aug 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Stripe

      Interview

The recruiter and interviewers were friendly throughout the 7 interviews and written assignment. However I feel extremely disrespected that after 2-3 months and 7 interviews that I didn’t receive a response on outcome. It’s been 5 weeks since my final interview. I followed up after 1-2 weeks after my last interview and got a prompt response that they were about to make a final decision soon. I checked LinkedIn and can see they put the ad back up yesterday. If they think it’s OK to put people through 2-3 months of interviews without a response then I’m not keen on this company.

      Interview

Clear, fast moving process, polite and well structured interview. No trick questions. HR appears to be a well run machine. If I had moved forward, I would have next interviewed with the direct supervisor.

      Risk Manager Interview

      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Stripe (New York, NY) in Aug 2021

      Interview

Absolutely terrible interviewing experience and seemingly unorganized hiring process by them. First step was your average HR screening call, asking about your experiences and expectation for your next role. Second call was with the hiring manager asking simple behavioral questions. After that is where the process went downhill and seemed completely unprofessional on their part. I was given a take home case study and had one week to submit it. As I submit it, the HR rep told me it would take a week to schedule the discussion of the case since several people on the panel were on PTO. After a week and a half, and still no response, I email the HR rep if there was any updates for a follow up call. They replied that the position was actually eliminated and that they were not hiring for it anymore. I was very confused because it wasn't even two weeks from when I applied and when they initially reached out, so how could they change their minds that quickly about creating a new role on that team? After that though, the HR rep said they really enjoyed the case study I put together and passed me on to the recruiter for a similar type role on another team. I spoke with the recruiter and again, just simple questions about background and fit, which ended with the HR rep telling me that the hiring manager was on PTO that but once back, they would schedule the next round. Two weeks later and still no response, so I email asking for any updates. They respond that they will know more by the end of that week what availability is. It's been two more weeks and I've given up trying to reach them at this point. Wish that they would just treat people with common decency, and be transparent even if the answer is they aren't interested in moving forward.
