      (Senior) Business Intelligence Analyst Interview

      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Stryker

      Interview

The interview process was extremely long. Took over 7 weeks from receiving the first response about my application (1/10/24) to the letter of rejection (3/1/24). First was a 30 min interview with a recruiter to see if you'd be a good fit for the role. A week later I talked to the hiring manager for about 45 min on the phone. This interview was to see if my technical skills aligned with the role. Then I was invited to take part in the Gallup interview which lasted an hour and was essentially an aptitude test. I moved on from there and was asked to come for an on site interview for this position. The onsite comprised of 4 separate hour long interviews with two team members, the hiring manager and the director of the division. The director didn't show up, which kind of rubbed me the wrong way. The hiring manager told me the next steps would either be an offer or no offer. I waited over two weeks after the onsite interview with no further communication and finally reached out about the status of my application to the recruiter who responded within 10 minutes telling me they went a different direction. The process was extremely long, but not overly difficult. Would've been nice to know the status of my application directly from them without having to reach out, especially as it appeared that I was one of the top candidates and after 7 weeks of interviewing. One odd aspect was they never talked to me about the salary of the position after all of that, or asked my expectations for salary. Overall, I don't think I will apply to another position with Stryker.
