The phone interview was more of a confirmation that I was able to communicate properly and that I was interested in the job.
I felt the in person interview was rushed because they already had made their decision. The interviewer made casual conversation, asked about my background, asked a problem solving question, then asked me to solve an algorithm.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Write a script that takes a given string, matches all sequentially repeated characters, and returns them in an array.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at StubHub (Oakland, CA) in Oct 2018
Interview
Recruiter is an idiot. Asked for interview times, which I provided. Then he sent me an email and asked me if we could speak the following day. I told him sure - there was only 1 hr I was available. He sent me ANOTHER email asking what time(s). After another round of Chase the Tail, I gave up. In all seriousness StubHub: LEARN PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR and ETIQUETTE. Either hire better people or teach your children what's appropriate. UPDATE: They just sent me a "Thanks, but we can't move forward..." VERY PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE, since I'm the one who turned them down.
