      Scrum Master Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Study.com

      Interview

Simple apply online, recruiter called in a couple days, phone screen, 2 - person phone interview. The people seemed nice but I heard some red flags when I was discussing the role such as the kept asking about team members not performing well or fighting and they leaned on that a developer would be better for scrum master without directly saying it. I would have denied the offer as it wasn't for me. Go into this role with caution as seems to be some internal issues going on and they might expect you to do some coding as a scrum master.

We definitely didn’t mean to give the impression that we have internal issues. Although we’re not perfect, part of culture involves giving and receiving feedback at all levels of the company to help employees constantly grow. We designed the interview questions to reflect the role of a scrum master, which involves resolving team member challenges and removing barriers. We aimed to present a variety of scenarios that a scrum master might encounter. Thank you for the feedback on our interview questions. -Ashley
