I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Subway (Surrey, BC) in Jun 2015
Interview
Very easy going. If you have prepared for the questions, there's no doubt you will get hired. Just be confident in all you answers and don't seem unsure because they want someone who works well under pressure, not someone who gets nervous and isn't confident during an interview. If you don't get the job and you prepared it's alright, the manager was probably too hard going and someone you wouldn't have liked working for anyways.
Process was quick and straightforward. The interview mainly focused on availability, previous customer service experience, teamwork, and how I would handle busy situations. The manager was friendly and asked a few basic behavioural questions. Overall, it was a relaxed and simple interview experience.
Dropped off my resume in store, i would recommend going in the morning itself to talk to the manager. Got a call back in like a week for a sit down interview. The interview itself was pretty chill, 20 minutes maximum and asked basic questions like availability, why subway, any prior experience in food or customer service
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do you have any prior experience in food or customer service
it was good and did not take too much time at all and they asked very appropriate questions that could be answered easily. I enjoyed working there and being able to gain knowledge and experience. It was a great 1st job that I had while in High School and they were very flexible
