I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sumo Digital (Royal Leamington Spa, England) in Mar 2021
Interview
Got contacted by a recruiter who seemed friendly. Asked to complete a coding test in the first email. You get send a project and are asked to complete certain tasks while logging the hours spent within a given timeframe.
The test seems mainly aimed at your architecture skills.
After completing the coding test which I did not find too hard I documented everything and provided suggestions while explaining what I would have done if I was making the actual system as It would have taken too long and I feared spending too much time on the test, so I made everything minimal to save time.
I sent the test back and was ghosted, I never heard back from them and essentially wasted hours of my life I won't get back.
I thought I did a decent job, apparently not. Glad I did not spent as much time as I would've on the test.
Not a good look if this is how you treat applicants and leaves me feeling negatively towards the company.

Easy going, coding test, talks with 2 directors and a walkthrough of the office. Was a comfortable experience, they made me feel at ease. The test was done at home and received feedback specific to that.
