Interview
The COO canceled 2 mins before our scheduled meeting without any followup about rescheduling. She finally relented to reschedule after a week. During the interview it was combative from the start. She liked to throw her past experience at the Ace Hotel around as if it trumped everything I've accomplished even though hospitality is a completely different industry than apparel. She spent the time countering everything I said saying that Sundae School didn't need any of the skills that I am able to bring. If that is true, then why schedule an interview with someone, then to just be confrontational. It was bizarre and showed her to be insecure. I could go on and on about how she is arrogant and overcompensating- refusing to even let me finish my sentences.

How can Sundae School plan inventory to meet demand but not have shortage or overstock with 100% sell-thru?
One of the worst, most disorganized interview I have had, should've known the signs.
First of all, I received a text from the CEO to schedule an interview and coordinated a time to meet them. They forgot about the interview and I came out of it pretty sure I wasn't going to move forward. But I got an unknown email from someone in the company asking me to schedule a time. Let me tell you this was the most slap in the face interview I've had. After me asking my questions and whether there were any outstanding questions you may have for me, they managed to undermine my experience and ask what my salary range is. Keep in mind, in NYC, you are required to disclose your salary range. I said my targeted salary, and the interviewer blatantly went based on your experience, it seems more of {insert their own perception of how they want to pay me in this role}. Then proceeded to shut me down and say we are looking for someone with more experience. If there is a more junior position we will let you know.
**To anyone reading this***
Do NOT EVER let anyone undermine your own experience, you desERVE to be paid the amount you want and deserve. Dodged a bullet for real and not because I didn't get to advance forward.
