This was only the screening call, the interviewer was very polite and made me feel very comfortable. The discussion was a lot about my previous experience, reason for changing, etc. Rejection email came around 1 week after the call so it was nice not having such a long waiting time. Only opportunity for improvement is that this was an automatic email, this is also fine but it was also a very poor template. Overall good experience.

Interview
I wasn’t looking for a job but the recruited contacted me on LinkedIn and got me interested in the position. I had an initial 30 minute phone screening with the recruiter. Two weeks later I had a virtual 45 minute interview with the manager of the department. I was dressed professionally and she wore what looked like a halter top (I initially thought this was very odd but chalked it up to the company must be very very laid back). She also was 2 minutes late to the virtual interview and didn’t say anything about it. I thought the interview went well. She was friendly and shared great information about the company and position but she said that they were still early in the interview process, so I didn’t really expect to hear back right away but then I did not received any follow up at all. Two weeks later, when I did reach out for an update on the position, she responded two days later saying that she had chosen to move forward with another candidate. Next steps for the chosen candidate would have been some kind of test project and then a group interview with folks from other departments.

HR ghosted me... not sure if they just filled the role or what, but their HR just decided to stop responding to me after seeming very interested. Seems like a dodged bullet if this is how their HR operates.
