I came across a job posting on the internet and responded to the ad. Shortly after that (I believe it was the very next day) I received a phone call from the area manager of Sunny D. We set up an interview at the hotel he was staying at for the following week. The interview lasted 1-2 hours. I believe it could have gone by a lot quicker if I hadn't asked so many questions and if I wasn't enjoying the conversation so much. And that's what the interview really was: a conversation. Basically it started out with the area manager introducing himself and giving a little introduction to the company. He asked if I was familiar with Sunny D. Of course I was! I grew up with it like many of us have... If I recall correctly, the first question I was asked was what my interests were. Beyond that, there was nothing too tedious like you get in many other job interviews. There were no uncomfortable questions. That's not to say that it wasn't a thorough interview; it was. It's just that the style of this interview was more relaxed and the area manager relied instead on using his judgment of character (and he's an expert on reading people, btw). To describe the interview process in short, I walked into that hotel feeling a bit uneasy, and almost overwhelmed with nervousness, but I walked out feeling very refreshed and my drive home was filled with thoughts that pertained to the job/company. I received a phone call from the area manager who conducted the interview not long afterwards (it may have even been later that same day but I'm not entirely certain) and I was told that they'd bring me aboard and that there were some documents that would be e-mailed to me along with a drug test that I'd have to schedule and the usual stuff, etc... A couple weeks later, began work.
