I applied online. I interviewed at Super Micro Computer, Inc. (Supermicro) (San Jose, CA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Odd, many questions not related to job applied. Interviewer not knowledgeable about opportunity yet wants to interview applicant just to influence outcome of project negatively or put applicant on notice not to accept job offer since interviewer does not want project to succeed. The vacancy is a couple of months old. This may signify that the salary and benefits package are inadequate, or the company simply examined the market and didn’t really need new employees. Anyway, it’s better to not waste your time. There are too many newcomers in a company, and the employees look like they were hired just yesterday. It’s not a new company, consider this a bad sign. High staff turnover often means poor working conditions.

Question 1
Standards are just guidelines so we do not follow or have to comply with the requirements, right?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Super Micro Computer, Inc. (Supermicro) (San Jose, CA)
Interview
Referral through ex-colleagues for two on-site interviews. First on-site took about 5 hours meeting with about 5-6 senior engineers and product managers, and a second onsite with senior management for about 2 hours. The process is fair and professional considering this is for a management position. The questions being asked has about 50% technical questions and the other 50% non-technical. Overall it is a good experience.
