I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Superhuman
Interview
The interview is an hour with four coding questions. If you're interviewing for front-end, the questions will include JavaScript, CSS and easy to medium leet code questions. Side note, the recruiter did not tell me this, I was told the interview would be an easy to medium leet code question, not an interview with four separate interview questions that covers algorithms and web development. So I was very surprised when the interviewer started with a JS related question, which I was able to answer. The next question was an easy to medium leet code question following another question about CSS. My main issue is not being told the interview would consist of four coding questions. That's a major disservice to your candidates and can really throw a candidate off. Be honest with the what the actual interview process is, and if you're a recruiter make sure you 100% what that process is, so that candidate is not giving a completely different interview from what they were told.

Interview
1 phone screen -> onsite: 1 coding, 1 system design, and 1 technical deep dive
The initial recruiter call goes over the role and interview process. After the initial phone screen, you get connected with a second recruiter who handles the remaining process (on site, team matching, leveling). For full stack roles, I was given the choice of backend focused coding or system design. Whichever one I didn’t choose for backend would be the frontend focused interview.
The process was overall very efficient and the recruiters were responsive throughout. They also help prepare you for each interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Talk about 2 previous projects. What was the impact, outcome, complications, how did you collaborate, etc.
I had a very positive interview experience. The process was smooth from start to finish, and the recruiter was incredibly helpful, responsive, and easy to work with. The interviewers were knowledgeable, supportive, and made the conversations feel engaging rather than stressful. Overall, it was a well-organized process and a great experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
High Level discussion about 2 projects - What choice did you make, why did you choose it, what would be the alternative, scalability
The process was relatively straightforward. The interview started with brief introductions and then continued with three leetcode questions to complete within the hour. Interview was communicative and gave hints when needed.
