Phone interview with HR and then another interview with a Director level employee. I was personally called by HR that I had advanced to an in person interview which I thought was a nice touch. The day before my in person in Palo Alto, HR called to cancel saying he had trouble scheduling me since it was a few days before Labor Day weekend and not a lot of people were in the office. I told him it was totally understandable and he said he would be in touch with the rescheduled time. Today I get an auto-generated email from SurveyMonkey saying that they appreciated my application however they didn't see an immediate fit. Confused I forwarded this to the recruiter assuming it was in error. The recruiter emailed back they were going with another candidate. In my opinion, that was not the most considerate/professional process. I also have the opinion if a company treats you like this during the interview process, it's a sign that there are more humane/organized companies to work for.
