I met two mid-level executives to go over the role and expectations. I declined the second interview due to a gap between compensation expectations. Very professional and easy going. I wish we could have been closer on compensation because I think I would of been a good fit for the role.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Swisher
Interview
I completed five interviews for a basic administrative position over six weeks with eight members of management. During this time, the people I interviewed with spoke endlessly about what an incredible company Swisher/Island Management is and how well they take care of their employees. After my final interview, which I felt went very well, I followed up with my recruiter after not hearing a response for over a week. They informed me that another candidate was chosen, with no other information or insight as to why I wasn’t extended an offer. For a company that holds its own character in such high regard, I was surprised I did not at least receive a phone call from my main interviewer to thank me for my time and give me feedback. Swisher claims to value people, but actions speak louder than words, and their actions in this case spoke volumes.
Not too difficult, general tobacco knowledge and understanding of sales field. Having prior experience helps convey confidence. Being able to think on your feet is a necessary skill. There aren't too many questions.
