I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Synchrony in Jul 2022
Interview
The interview process was weird but I guess didn’t take too long. I have never applied for a job that makes you choose the days you interview and you have to wait and check the website everyday to see if any times become available. Again, weird.
After the app and initial test screening, there were 2 interviews. First was with an initial recruiter I’m assuming because after I passed that interview she said the next one would be with a manager. When i finally had that interview it went well as far as I’m concerned but the guy interviewing me was extremely distracted towards the end when I began to ask him questions. He literally said he was having a long day and that’s why he took so long to answer me. Like, what?? And then he says my interview answers will be passed along to the hiring managers and I should hear back within 5-7 business days. Im thinking aren’t you a manager? But okay. Exactly 1 week after the interview after the interview I get an email that says “ Thank you for your interest in a position within our company. After carefully reviewing your qualifications, we have chosen another candidate who more closely matches our current requirements. This is not necessarily a negative reflection upon you, but reflects the high level of competition for our available openings. Your expressed interest in Synchrony is appreciated.” I’ve been doing customer service in various fields including finance/banking for a decade now and my qualifications don’t match? That’s completely ridiculous. I heard the job is stressful anyways so whatever, their loss.

Interview
The application process seemed highly disorganized. While all email interactions were cordial, my interview kept getting rescheduled on short notice. It was hard to get any clear answers. Felt more like pulling teeth, than a hiring process.
I applied online. I interviewed at Synchrony (Westchester, OH) in Sept 2025
Interview
Interview process was easy with basic customer service questions. Early interactions suggested a friendly culture, but extended training exposed stricter expectations and a less supportive environment than originally presented. Straightforward customer service questions. The culture initially felt friendly, but the tone shifted during the long training period. Expectations became less clear, and the environment felt more pressured than advertised.
It was a telephonic interview, Confirmed details like adress, dob, and weather fresher or employed.
