I was approached by their recruiter in Linkedin. During this time, I was still working with an successful autologous CAR-T company. However, I wanted to expand my experiences and so I followed up with the recruiter to get an better idea about the company.
After a 30min talk with the recruiter, I was scheduled a 1:1 interview with the hiring manager. The interview with the hiring manager went well. He asked a lot of technical questions regarding my CAR-T autologous experiences and I tried my best to answer it without revealing too much of my company secrets. It was enough to get me into the next stage of the interview process. The next stage seems more intensive as it was scheduled for 3 hours, with multiple interviewers. I had to sign an NDA prior to this meeting.
I scheduled the 3 hour interviews a week later as I wanted some time to prep. During this time, the recruiter told me that they wanted to postpone and reschedule the 3 hour interview. 5 days later, the recruiter called to informed that the position has been filled. The overall fiasco lasted for almost an month.
Today, I decided to follow up on their website to see if they have any opening. I see the same posting still up. So why do I feel conflicted about this: was the position really filled? Did they try to use the interview process to pry me into telling them about my company autologous process? I don't know so here I am writing about my experiences in Glassdoor to see if anyone also have the same experiences.
