I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at System Pavers (Portland, OR) in Mar 2013
Interview
The interview was very laid back. I had to go to 2 of them in a week time. Nothing really hard was asked. A lot of promises will be made and they will talk up what they do. You will have to go to California for a week to do training. It is a waste of time... They don't even train you for the city your are going to be working in.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at System Pavers (Camarillo, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Two interviews with a test to see if you can measure correctly, interviewed with the construction manager and regional manager separately, they called me back within a week to offer the position, have loved it since
I was contacted by a corporate recruiter who was very nice and set up an interview with the construction manager who was very upfront about what they expect from you and their compensation package. Questions were fairly easy. Seems to be a classy group of employees.
