      Mobile Associate Interview

      30 Jan 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Beltsville, MD
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at T-Mobile (Beltsville, MD) in Jan 2017

      Interview

Started with a group interview with a small group of 8~9 people. I say small because I have participated in hiring events of up to 25+ people. It was mainly learning about the manager panel (which there were 6, including the Hiring Manager). We did some activities in teamwork in smaller groups to present to the panel, and they took our questions at the end. The whole thing lasted about two hours. An hour after this interview ended, they called me back to schedule another in-person interview the next week. After that, I was called into an interview by myself with two managers. They asked me questions about how I handled situational roadblocks or objections that customers presented to me in the past as well as what sort of values I hold in the workplace when it comes to addressing confrontation. After the questions, there was a roleplaying section that lasted about 10 minutes, including reviewing over the materials. In the next interview, they asked me to interview one-on-one with the District Manager which, was obviously an elevation in the process, but I was asked more or less the same sorts of questions and she dug into more of what would be expected of me in the position. All in all it was very relaxed. There wasn't any beating around the bush, and throughout the whole process, I knew what was expected of me and what to expect from the company.

      Interview

I saw the job opening at JobBoard, so I was trying to apply. It was weird that they were required to do a personality quiz before anything else. It has more than 60 similar questions in a nonsense form(states that they made that for purposes).

They ask about your background work experience / school if any. About 5 situational based questions. Then a little bit about why you want to work there. Takes about 30 mins or so.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at T-Mobile in Jul 2024

      Interview

Scheduled first interview, then said there would be a second interview. On the second interview, said there would be a third. Basically near zero communication between interviews and eventually an automated email saying I did not get the position. Even though I preform this job for my current employer, it seems that the interview matters more than your skills.
