I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at T-Mobile (Allentown, PA) in Sept 2009
Interview
First, I took an easy assessment test with questions like can you sit at a desk for a full shift taking calls. Then I took a long, like 45 min. to an hour, skills and math test. You had to answer mock calls and handle customer problems in a call-center environment. It was fairly easy, but you should be prepared to write information down on paper quickly before entering it into the computer. The math problems were sometimes complex - a lot of percentages and fractions, but manageable. Finally, you have to answer pages and pages of personality questions. You won't have to think, but you will have to continue to concentrate for a long time.
I just filled out a complex background history, it was comprehensive - you will need access to information (address, phone number, dates of employment, supervisor's name and title, ect...)
I just scheduled a phone interview - it will be next week.

It’s a grueling process. Do several interviews before you go in for an actual interview. It’s more like a mixer. Meet a variety of people then do a one on one.
The interview went well, but when they asked about my desired length of stay, I explained that I wanted to stay for a considerable time, but still launch or perhaps grow the company. The interviewer then went on a rant about how they thought they would only stay at this job for a short while, and their enthusiasm seemed to wane.
After completing a phone interview there was an in person interview. There were two people doing the interview one person asked the questions the other took notes. It didn't last long and they were very nice.
