The application process was super cumbersome that I almost stopped a couple of times (and I should have. Ah well, you live and learn). Despite the dismal reviews of this company on Glassdoor site, I went a head applied. Someone (I think she's in HR, I don't remember her title being a "recruiter") emailed me asking me for availability for an interview with... I forgot, a director? I think? who's located in UK.
My laptop, of course, decided to misbehave as soon as I joined the interview so my video was not working (funny enough that was the only time in an interview my video was not working and I had countless of interviews before and after this). Naturally, the interviewer was annoyed and I'm totally distracted by my laptop's tantrum that I half-hearted answered while I continued to troubleshoot my video issues. I knew I totally blew the interview (frankly, I didn't care cuz he wasn't my type of manager AT ALL, let alone how I felt about the company), but what was so bizarre to me is after all the Q&A were over, he gave me "performance review" - he pointed out my answers he didn't like and how I could've have done better. Shockingly, before I had a chance to write my "thanks but no thanks" email to them, the woman emailed me again asking me for availability for a panel interview. Obviously, I withdrew my application.
