      Part Time Teller Interview

      26 Aug 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Leesburg, VA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TD (Leesburg, VA) in May 2017

      Interview

Interview process was very easy. The branch manager and the assistant manager was extremely nice and happy that I came in for an interview. She asked me if I had any previous experience in banking. Which I didn't, but they still hired me because they have a very extensive training program. They asked me a maximum of 3 questions and were very pleasant and didn't make you feel incompetent even if you don't have the experience.

      Part Time Teller Interview

      12 Oct 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Ridgewood, NJ
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TD (Ridgewood, NJ) in Oct 2018

      Interview

One of the worst and most awkward interviews I have gone to, ever. Both the head teller and (what I am assuming is) the brand manager did not know how to properly conduct an interview. Based on my recent experiences and going to interviews you ask an interested candidate questions about themselves and how they would benefit your office or company. Instead, the branch manager asked questions on why I didn't work at my previous job and what made me interested in my previous jobs while the head teller just literally sat there looking at me. I had previous experience in banking as well and it seemed like all they worried about is how that bank ran their business. They weren't friendly nor intimidating, it just truly seemed that they didn't know what they were doing. Nearing towards the end of the interview there was also like awkward silences and I wasn't sure what to say or do. I felt like I had to end the interview which is not something common. It was just an awkard and definitely uncomfortable situation so I am very glad I will not be working there. Not to mention, the enviroment was off as well.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What did you learn from your previous jobs? That's it, they didn't follow up with how I learned from it or nothing.
