Applied for the above role that was initially advertised as English-speaking only. During the first HR screening, I was informed that the hiring managers actually required a native Norwegian speaker, and that the job specification had been published before this requirement was finalised.
While I understand that hiring needs change, this should ideally be clarified before candidates enter the interview process. In my case, I was told the requirement would be reviewed, but I did not receive any follow-up for approximately six weeks, after which I received an automated rejection.
A clearer alignment between job postings and hiring requirements — along with more timely communication — would significantly improve the candidate experience. Particularly when candidates are taking days off work to attend.
Poor experience.
