I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TE Connectivity in Dec 2010
Interview
Applied for a full-time position at the career fair at NC State. Had an on-campus interview after a few weeks. General HR questions. I initiated the technical discussion by describing my project and research.
Selected for on-site interview in Fuquay-Varina. Interviewed by a Director of Manufacturing. He seemed interested but I got an email after a few weeks saying that they had no jobs for graduate students. They eventually hired a few sophomores / freshmen for internships.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at TE Connectivity (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2018
Interview
I had one interview in person at a conference and was told that I would be reccommended to the hiring manager, but they have taken no action since. The interview was very behavioral and conducted by a recruiter, not an engineer. Typical questions were asked, no surprises.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TE Connectivity (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
Met with a different engineering and plant managers to discuss position and my credentials and qualifications. Planned through the HR and was there for a good 3 hours. Was sent an offer letter in a week or so and ultimately negotiated my salary to where I felt was good. The company matched and I accepted.
