I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at TIAA (Philadelphia, PA) in Apr 2010
Interview
Co. recruiter phoned to pump-up position. Vague about position turnover reasons. Other Co. employee scheduled interview. Interviewer was arrogant and wasted my time.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TIAA (The Villages, FL) in Aug 2022
Interview
Brief chat with a recruiter, followed by a 3-person panel interview 2 weeks later. One of the individuals on the panel clearly needed to hear the "company-line" and was not very interested in textbook fiduciary answers. I would steer clear of this company if you wish to have any integrity in doing what's in your client's best interest.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you feel about providing lifetime income to individuals (aka... are you comfortable slinging annuities everyday regardless of client suitability?)
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TIAA (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Very thorough interview process. Be leery of background check questionnaire. Apparently what it says and what it means are two different things. If you have a note or a loan from a previous firm, they will not hire you or will rescind an offer made to you regardless of the fact that the questionnaire doesn't say that.
