I applied online. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Atlanta, GA) in Jul 2026
Interview
The recruiter was super sweet and helpful. I moved on to the interview with the district manager. This was supposed to be a three interview combo and the questions were pretty straightforward and situational.

Question 1
I was using my phone since it’s all I had. The woman asks me right of the bat, if I was taking the Teams call from my phone and if there was a way I could set it down so she wouldn’t get motion sick. During the tell me about yourself and why you want to work for us stage, I told her the truth and for me it’s my current commute. She has the courage to tell me that I have to be available to be sent to stores all over within a 50 mile radius. After the motion sickness request, her demanding something from me even before I worked for her, and the omission from the recruiter about the potential 50-mile commute, I stopped collecting red flags and told her that this was not for me.
Group Interview style. I was there with a few other applicants. They took us around the store and they would ask questions here and there. Easy process. Got hired shortly after.
