I was contacted by a recruiter who made it sound like I was the best candidate for a specific position he'd ever seen. I was pressured to come in ASAP for an interview. I thought that meant they were seriously considering me and want to move fast. I was interviewed, introduced to the team, shown various aspects of how they operated and functioned as a group. Given lots of positive feedback during the interview that they really wanted me to join the team. Told me I'd here from them by a certain date - then they went radio silent. Sent a "thank you" note and still - radio silence. After all that hub-bub my B.S. radar was pretty accurate. Be suspicious of any potential employer that wants to move hard and fast at the beginning. Primarily young men in the office. Not a lot of experienced people. Very hungry millennials.
