I interviewed at TYR Sport (Farmingdale, NY) in Apr 2026
Interview
The process was not very thorough, just some general conversations and then a decline email for a different role I wasn't even interviewing for. Seems like they were looking for a specific type of person.

Question 1
Generally about my experience with process, saying their internal structure is different.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at TYR Sport (Long Island City, NY) in Mar 2022
Interview
I showed up at their office and all the electricity was out. They had some totally normal explanation for why the lights were out in their building but not the rest of the town. The coffee shop had lights. Then they asked me to design their next line of products as part of the interview process. They generously gave me a week. I had to think that if I designed their next line of products for free in a week, then what would they hire me to do? Needless to say I didn’t do it, and they sent me an email about how disappointed they were. Maybe you are the rockstar designer who will design their products for free? Good luck.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TYR Sport
Interview
It was communicated you'd have four interviews. 1. Recruiter 2. Director of ops & sales 3. Someone from HR 4. Another executive At first, the communication was fast and smooth but after the second interview all communication stopped. After a week and a half since my last interview and sending a follow up email with no response. I knew I would hear any communication like I was told and it probably went to someone else. No hard feels and I did enjoy to process just hoped a little courtesy to be notify could have happen.
