1st round was a phone interview with HR. 2nd round, was a conference call with the VP of Ops. For the 3rd round, I was asked for an onsite interview with the VP. I wasn’t aware that I will be tested on my Excel skills. I was given 5 questions and about an hour, to sort out a bunch of datas as according to the questions. I think it went fine. The real kicker was, after excel test, there was a speaking part of the interview, conducted completely in professional Mandarin, which completely threw me off guard. The JD mentioned that mandarin was just a bonus, not a requirement. I felt like a deer caught in headlights as I was completely unprepared of speaking in professional Mandarin.
I would suggest to update your JD to better reflect the actual requirements of the role. This would greatly save everyone’s time and effort.
