Remote teams interview with single member of the US team, who was working in the UK for a period of time. Interview was fairly standard - combination of personal, experience and competency based questions. Interview took around an hour. At the end of interview I was told I was successful in that stage and would be put through to next round of process, and would hear about next steps within a week or so. I contacted HR after 23 days of no contact and was told job position had been filled by an internal candidate. No issues with the outcome itself, but was unacceptable that I had to reach out for this answer myself, particularly given the advice that I'd be moving on to the next phase at the end of the interview. Process was disappointing and experience could've been much improved with better communication, and some transparency.
