Not very impressed with the way Tapfin handled this tbh and I'd hesitate to apply with them again.
I applied for a vacancy online, and later got an email from one of Tapfin's recruiters stating that I'd be a great fit, and that he'd have an update for me within four days. Six days pass and nothing, so I email him - no response.
After 11 days a completely different person emails me about the role, stating that I have secured an interview via webcam. Several of the details of this turned out to be wrong however - there was supposed to be two interviewers (there was only one), it was supposed to be a competency interview (only slightly), and worst of all the time given was an hour out (luckily I spotted the discrepancy on the Teams invite just in time). The interviewer seemed bored and uninterested throughout; they said I could expect an answer within five days. Eight days pass with no response, so I chase Tapfin, who inform me that is was a rejection, with just a generic 'they chose a better suited candidate' line. I asked for some more specific feedback, and have as yet (5 days) still not received any, nor even an acknowledgement of my request.
The way the whole thing was managed was unprofessional and disrespectful and I came away with a bad impression of both Tapfin and the company they were hiring for.
