I met with my recruiter through an University Career Fair and learned about the Distribution Operations Intern position. This position is essentially like the Group Leader position but you spend most of the 10 weeks working on a research project to improve Distribution Center efficiency. I expressed interest in the position and I was contacted the next day by her to complete a personality and skills assessment (you can't really prepare for this kind of test, but definitely have a calculator nearby, a tab of Google open, and allot yourself the full amount of time). The next week by HQ Human Resources contacted me to set up and phone interview. This lasted about 45 mins. Around a week later I informed that I made it to the On-Site Interview, was thoroughly informed of the day-long process. It was out-of-town in their Perishable Food Distribution Center in Lake City, FL but they reimburse you for Gas, Meals and a Hotel depending on the distance and location. The On-Site Interview lasted around 5 hours. The was a tour of the facility, a presentation by HR, and 3 interviews (2 were 1:1 the other was 1:2) with the exception of the interviews you spend the first part of your day with a group of 3-4 people that may be interviewing for the same position, or others. The next day I was extended the offer for Internship and I happily accepted.
